PESSI vs EOBI vs Workers’ Welfare Fund

Body What It Provides
PESSI Healthcare and cash benefits for eligible insured workers, including sickness, employment injury, disablement, maternity, death, and iddat benefits.
EOBI Old-age, invalidity, and survivors' pensions for eligible insured employees. See our EOBI guide for details.
Workers' Welfare Fund (WWF) Marriage grants, death grants, educational scholarships, and housing support for eligible industrial workers and their families.
Good to know: Workers registered with PESSI may also qualify for certain Workers' Welfare Fund benefits, including marriage and death grants, if they meet the relevant eligibility requirements. These grants are administered and paid under WWF rules, not as PESSI cash benefits.

[Verify current grant amounts and eligibility.] Benefit amounts, qualifying employment categories, and application requirements can change. Check the latest information with the Workers' Welfare Fund and Punjab Employees Social Security Institution .
